Masks by Williamİ2003

Isn't it strange how we can all bask
And walk around wearing a mask
Hiding fear and pain and sorrow
Hoping today will be a better tomorrow
Some wear it to hide their pain
And pull it on again and again
Others because they feel sad too
Over a lost person that said I love you
Masks of laughter we choose to wear
Often that hide the pain we bear
Friends come and go so what's new
We just pull on a mask to hide our blue
But darling let us, that's you and me
Whilst together be mask free
Let me see the tears like rose petals that fall
I want to be there for you warts and all
No clowning mask will you ever see
Just this old heart that I call me
So be brave let me see it all to
I don't want masks, I just want you
